“Territorial Generating Company No.9” OJSC has been established within the power industry reform and consolidates the generating capacities of Sverdlovsk Region, Perm Territory and the Komi Republic.

“TGC-9” basic activities include the production, transfer and sale of heat and electric energy.

Establishment of the territorial generating companies is an important stage of Russian power industry reorganization. Large interregional companies integrating the generating assets of the regional power companies are formed in the course of division of the single regional power entities by types of activities (generation, networks, energy sale). The territorial generating companies shall become the effective financially stable large companies able to function on a competitive wholesale energy market and heat supply.

Today “TGC-9” is a part of “IES” JSC “Generation of the Urals” Division.
