TGC-9 Strategy on the Heat and Power Energy Market in 2006-2010 TGC-9 is a multiproduct energy company performing generation and sale of power and heat energy, transportation of heat energy through the territory of the Komi Republic, Perm Territory and Sverdlovsk Region. TGC-9 takes the third place on production of heat among the companies of energy sector. When developing the present strategy there were taken into consideration the interests of main contractors and other parts of the energy market: consumers, competitors, suppliers, shareholders, regional Administrations, presenting the interests of the Country in the regions. The mission of the current strategy is to plan and organize the activity of TGC-9 till 2010. It determines the activity target metrics, defines the basic approaches to reach the goals and sets the tactic objectives of the operation activity of the Company. Effective HPP’s Strategy Effective HPP’s Strategy means: 1. Development of the heat markets of basic heat load and maximum-demand heat load, sale of heat energy on long-term contracts to industrial consumers and other heat consumers, attracting large financial-stable power sale companies. 2. Increase the profit generation of power energy on the current and perspective basic heat load, and sale the power energy on long-term bilateral contracts to the power energy consumers, from the bars of the power stations of TGC-9 and to the large financial stable energy sale companies. 3. Provide the competitive condensate output of power energy on the basis of operating capacities of TGC-9 and profitable sale of it on the competitive wholesale and balancing market of power energy. Increase the competitiveness of heat energy will allow TGC-9 to save it’s heat market sectors and basic heat load, the basis for co-generation development. Focus on co-generation of energy, modernization of the current operating capacities and sale of power energy on long-term delivery contracts, according to the world practice, will result in maximum possible increase of Company’s cost. Focus of TGC-9 other available power capacities on the market of maximum-demand power loads will allow the Company to get the additional increase of production profitability, and therefore improve the parameters of it’s cost.
